Daedalus Avionics

On Thursday November 3rd 2011, Elbit Systems of America (ESA) celebrated the opening of their new Avionics repair facility on the Royal Netherlands Air Force depot in Rhenen.

This new facility marks the official launch of ESA's partnership with the RNLAF and the evoluationm of Daedalus Avionics BV, which is a long standing Joint Venture partnership between International Enterprise Inc, Talledega Alabama (a subsidiary of ESA) and the Daedalus Aviation Group, Tilburg NL. Until now, Daedalus Avionics was located in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and supported two avionics repairs; the Fatique Analysis Combat Evaluation (FACE) system and the Color Multifunction Display (CMFD). ESA will now expand Daedalus Avionics with capabilities like CCMFD (Common Color Multifunction Display) repairs and WACHUD (Wide Angle Conventional Heads-Up Display) upgrades. This partnership will also allow Daedalus Avionics to utilize RNLAF avionics test equipment for third party military and civilian customers. All three partners; ESA, RNLAF and Daedalus expressed great satisfaction and enthusiasm for this partnership and the future of military avionics support for regional and global customers from within The Netherlands.
